How to train a dog to be obedient in a dog cage

The editor tells you that training allows your dog to enter the dog cage willingly. As long as it is done properly, dog cage training is definitely beneficial to the dog. It also helps to reduce stress and prevent the dog from encountering various dangers when he is alone at home.

Plus, dogs don't naturally like to get their den dirty, so you can use a dog crate to teach him to go to the bathroom at a certain point. A dog crate should make the dog happy. However, some dog owners misuse it to imprison and punish their dogs, violating the main principles of crate training.

1. Choose the right size

The cage should have enough space for the dog to stand, sit and stretch comfortably.

2. Find a suitable place to place the dog cage

Put the dog cage in a fixed position, which can be the room where the family often stays, and the place where you have to pass in and out. But also make sure the dog isn't disturbed during rest periods (especially at night).

3. Put snacks in the cage

As part of crate training, sprinkle some tasty treats in the crate to create good associations with the crate.
